Support for Multiple Companies

If you are using NCR Counterpoint V8.5 or later and you have more than one company database, you can now log into to any of your companies when you connect your CPMobile device to your Counterpoint server. This enhancement allows you to use a single CPMobile device to enter tickets, perform a physical count, enter inventory adjustments, or receive merchandise for multiple companies.

In CPMobile 2.2, when you select a server, the Companies screen appears, allowing you to select the company you want to log in to.

If you are already logged in to a company, you can switch companies by following these steps:

  1. On the CPMobile main menu, tap the User button in the lower right-hand corner.
  2. Tap the button, and then tap Change server.
  3. Under Select Server, tap your server.
  4. On the Companies screen, tap the company you want to log in to.

A Closedmessage appears, alerting you that any pending transactions that have not been saved to the server, including tickets, physical count quantities, adjustments, and receivers, will be discarded when you switch companies.

Tap OK, and then log in to the company you selected, or tap Cancel to return to the Companies screen, allowing you to log back in to the company you have been using and save any pending transactions.
